Its amazing to see that current advanced Assisted Conception Techniques find mention in Ancient Indian Mythology. A few examples are quoted below
God Kartik’s birth God Shiva and Goddess Parvati could not have a child naturally so God of Fire carried Shiva’s seed and God Kartik was born

Lord Ganesha — the second son of Shiva and Parvati was born from a cell from Goddess Parvati’s body

Goddess Gandhari — gave birth after 2 years of conception to a mass of cells. Of these 101 which were normal cells were put in a nutrient medium and were grown in vitro till full term. Of these, 100 developed into male children (Kauravas) and developed into a female child Duhsheela.

King Draupada was given a medicine by a Rishi and after collecting his semen, the Rishi processed it and suggested that insemination should be done for his wife who, however, refused. The Rishi then put the semen in a Yajnakunda from which Dhrishtadyumna and Draupadi were born.

In the 7th pregnancy of Devaki the embryo that was conceived, was transferred to the womb of Rohini wife of Vasudeva to prevent it from being destroyed by her brother Kansa, and Lord Balram was born
